Musami Dam site in Zimbabwe (2018)

Field work was carried out during 2018 to investigate the sediment yield of proposed dams east of Harare.

Val de Vie Estate bridge on the Berg River (2018)

The new Val de Vie Estate bridge on the Berg River near Paarl was officially opened during June 2018.
Hydrodynamic modelling of the Berg River flood flows was carried out by Prof Gerrit Basson during the detail design of the bridge.
The 100 year flood flow is 700 m wide and the approach road on the floodplain is low not to obstruct the floodplain flow. Owner: Val de Vie Estate.

Mossel Bay stormwater pipe (2018)

A new stormwater pipe of 1.4 m diameter was designed at Louis Fourie Road. The slope of the pipe is steep and needed a stilling basin to dissipate the energy before discharging into the ocean. Owner: Mossel Bay Municipality.

Zambezi River abstraction works hydraulic design, Mozambique (2018)

Field work for hydraulic and sediment data, hydrology, hydrodynamic modelling and hydraulic design of the proposed abstraction works for a mine. Client: VALE.

Polokwane sewer drop structure design, South Africa (2018)
